Elvis Presley - Back In Nashville - Coffret 4 CD

En mai juin 1971, Elvis revient à Nashville enregistrer des morceaux destinés à plusieurs projets d'album: un album de Noël, un album Gospel, un album "pop" et divers morceaux pour des sorties single. Il revient avec le même groupe que celui de la session de l'année précédente toujours à Nashville. Les enregistrements sont pour ce coffret présentés pour la première fois sans aucun overdub, on peut donc y entendre Elvis et son groupe jouer live en studio et le résultat est extraordinaire de maitrise avec un Elvis au sommet de son art vocal.

 

Le son qui nait lors de ces sessions sera celui d'Elvis pendant toute sa fin de carrière, un mélange de Soul "Muscle Shoal" et de country-rock.
