From 1965 to 1971, this Manchester basement club became the heartbeat of a musical and social revolution. What began with blues and R&B quickly evolved into a torrent of uplifting American soul, igniting the birth of Northern Soul. Dancers found both energy and solidarity, setting the scene apart from London’s trends. This selection pays tribute to those pivotal years, when the groove up North defined a culture whose spirit and rhythm remain celebrated to this day.
